ExxonMobil supports humanitarian response in Mozambique

• 112,000 liters of potable water delivered to INGD and partners
• 2,000 menstrual pads and collectors distributed to 500 women

Through partnerships with civil society organizations VAMOZ, ADPP and the Government of Maputo Province, ExxonMobil further donated 532 mosquito nets, 500 capulanas and hygiene kits consisting of 1,500 menstrual pads and 500 reusable menstrual collectors that last up to 10 years. The kits also included 3,000 units of soap bars, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to reach the various women and persons impacted.

Through strategic partnerships with government authorities at local and national levels, as well as civil society organizations, we work collaboratively to mitigate the impact to communities caused by cyclone Freddy.” said Arne Gibbs, General Manager for ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada.

Cesar Tembe, National Director for Prevention and Mitigation at the National Institute for Disaster Management (INGD) stated that “The support provided by ExxonMobil is invaluable and contributes to the overall well-being of the population affected by the floods, inundation and cyclone Freddy in the country.”
